We specialize in small group and individualized training in a supportive and engaging environment. We have a group for your child! Please read our class descriptions below before heading to our lessons page.

Children's Recreational Tennis

Beginners: ages 3-9

Here, we teach children the basics of tennis in a structured, yet fun and exciting way. Prepare to keep your feet moving and hit a ton of balls while learning the foundational skills of tennis! Intro to Tennis for children ages 3-5; Beginners and Beginners II for children ages 5-9.

Junior's Recreational Tennis

Beginners, Intermediates & Advanced: ages 9+

Children aged 9 + will start their tennis journey here! Together with our wonderful coaches, we will build foundational skills in an environment suited for children ages 9+. Whether your child wants to begin their tennis journey or fine tune their existing game, we have a class and a coach for you!

Competition Track Tennis

Intermediate & Advanced: ages 7+

Players ages 7-11 with 2+ years formal training, looking to play competitively should register for try outs or schedule a player evaluation. All competition track classes require tryouts. Please use the link below to reserve a spot. This program directly feeds our High Performance groups.

High Performance Training

Advanced: ages 11+

Players with 5+ years formal training, looking to play high level competitive tennis may evaluate for placement in this group. Led by Coach Clint, high performance players are expected to have college or professional ambitions; combined with dedication and focus. Groups are divided by UTR with no exceptions.

About Our Tennis Academy

Since our founding, Fort Myers Tennis LLC has had the opportunity to help thousands of students acquire foundational skills, develop new techniques, reach their goals and confidently move forward in their journeys as athletes, students and kind people both on and off the courts. We provide a wide range of courses to support players from all backgrounds and ability levels, and believe that everyone has a place in tennis! All of our unique tennis programming is developed and overseen by Coach Clinton Jacobs (former ITF World Ranking of 21 in the Juniors, 4 year D1 athlete, Sunbelt Conference International Male Athlete of the Year), who has experience playing tennis and competing at the highest levels and most prestigious tournaments all over the world, including Wimbledon and the Australian Open! While we mainly focus on teaching juniors from 3 years old to High Performance, we are more than happy to coach families and adults as well. Please just let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to accommodate your training needs!

We operate out of the historic Fort Myers Racquet Club in partnership with the City of Fort Myers, where we run all of our clinics, private lessons, UTR tournaments, camps, events & seasonal programs. We are very proud to be partners with many local schools and organizations, providing tennis programming and skills for life! Clinton Jacobs

Co-Founder & Director of Tennis, USPTR Certified Instructor, with 25 years coaching experience. Coach Clint is a former ATP player with a career high ranking of 22 in the World. He has competed around the world having played at Wimbledon, the Australian Open and many more! Coach Clint oversees our high-performance programs and all college bound athletes.

Sarah Jacobs

Co-Founder & Director of Operations, Sarah loves working with kids and building community through a shared love of tennis. For almost 10 years now, she has been dedicated to ensuring each child gets the most out of their time with Fort Myers Tennis Academy!

Jamie Bonter

USPTA Certified Professional, 15+ years experience. Coach Jamie is a Net Generation Coach who loves to teach the Red, Orange, Green & Yellow ball developmental USTA programming. Coach Jamie is a beloved member of our coaching team at Fort Myers Tennis Academy and loves to share her passion for tennis with the next generation of players!

Gustavo Cruz

Coach Gustavo holds a level 1 USPTR certificate and has over 15 years coaching experience. Gustavo played position 1 collegiate tennis for Ave Maria University and held a career high UTR of 13.56. He is a former ATP player and hails from Brazil! Coach Gustavo is excited to share his love of the game with the athletes at Fort Myers Tennis Academy!

Patrick Segodo

Coach Patrick holds a Level 1 USPTR certificate and has been coaching tennis for over 10 years. Coach Patrick brings enthusiasm and positivity to the courts and is excited to bring his expertise and love of the game to our players at Fort Myers Tennis Academy!

Ryan Kendrix

Ryan is a Level 1 USPTR certified coach and has been playing tennis for 7 years. Ryan spends most of his free time on the courts and is excited to share his enthusiasm for tennis with the young future players in our community.

Caden Cook

Coach Caden holds a Level 1 Coaching Certificate from USPTR. He has been playing tennis for 10 years, and training under Coach Clint. Coach Caden is excited to be out on the courts with the next generation of players at Fort Myers Tennis Academy!
